The Pre-Learner Metal course is designed for people who have never ridden a motorbike. We recommend you take the road rules test at MVR at MVR - or practise test here BEFORE the class. Classes include theory and practical sessions.

The Pre-Provisional course will teach you the skills and knowledge needed for  safer riding. It includes both theory and practical sessions including an on-road component. At the end of this you can gain your Provisional licence.

Cost $300 per person per course

Students should supply their own LAMS approved and registered motorcycle and full  safety gear that includes boots or shoes that cover the ankles, long trousers, long sleeved shirt (jacket for P Provisional  course), gloves (fully enclosed) and helmet.

Theory training is conducted at the Rotary Park Conference Centre, corner Lockheed and Rapide Streets. Practical sessions are held at the bus interchange.

R class info

Department of Transport says that there are two ways to get your Learners motorcycle licence - enrol in a course or take a balance & stability test. Unfortunately for Katherine people, the balance test is not available. MVR decision.

So we can offer the Pre-Learner and Pre-Provisional METAL courses.  Our classes are capped at 4 students per class.

Fees are to be paid no later than 1 week before the class/es start.

Classes will be cancelled and money refunded if there are not enough students to hold a course.

You must have held an R class license for 6 months BEFORE you can do the Pre-Provisional course.

Register your place on the course by emailing us.
