ABOUT US

Located in the town of Katherine, DRV4LYF Driving School is Katherine's oldest driving school. We started in 2007 and have been teaching people to drive in our airconditioned, dual control manual and automatic cars.    We offer the following services:

Driving lessons
Auto to manual
Overseas licence
Motorcycle training

Practical driving lessons - 60 minutes. Choice of manual or automatic transmission. We pick you up and drop you back.* Cost $65 per hour

We are approved assessors for the onroad P test. The test costs $110. You can only take the test in our cars because it is a requirement by MVR that all CAM tests be recorded.

Got a license for automatic? We can teach you the skills to drive a manual car. This usually only takes about 3 lessons.

We help international licence holders (X) to meet the requirements for gaining an NT open license.

We offer METAL motorcycle training. There are two courses - the Pre-Learner course is for people who don't have a motorcycle license. The Pre-Provisional caters for those who have had their Learners license for at least 6 months and want to have an open license.

DrivesafeNT is an NT Government program  whereby students receive education and training by qualified driving instructors and assessors as well as more than $600 in subsidies towards obtaining a drivers license.  For more information click here or on the button on the left.

Driving is one of life's most important but dangerous skills.

DRV4LYF Driving School aims to teach learner drivers the skills and knowledge needed to become good drivers and help reduce the appalling Territory road statistics.

Located in the town of Katherine, DRV4LYF Driving School is Katherine's oldest driving school.

Started by husband and wife duo Christopher and Pamela Dixon in 2007 the business began after their son's friend tragically lost his life in a road accident.

We wanted to start a driving school to teach young drivers about the dangers of fatigue, distractions, drugs and alcohol

Christopher said DRV4LYF aims to teach people the skills needed to successfully drive for life so they become defensive, not risk taking drivers.

“We wanted to start a driving school to teach young drivers about the dangers of fatigue, distractions, drugs and alcohol,” Christopher said.

“We particularly want to target younger learners before they practise risky driving behaviours so that they may live long and fulfilled lives.”

Now in their eleventh year, the business has been teaching people to drive in airconditioned, dual control manual and automatic cars with monthly motorcycle lessons now available as well.

Christopher and Pamela are highly qualified instructors and teachers with experience in primary, secondary and TAFE teaching.

DRV4LYF Driving School operates after school hours, on Saturdays and during school holidays.

To book a lesson call Christopher on 0438 808 835 or Pamela on 0418 851 644.
